Georgia woman’s health emergency inspires family’s Peachtree Road Race tradition
Christie has been one of our patients since her amputation. She had the osseointegration procedure and no longer needs to wear a socket. The prosthesis attaches to an abutment that’s implanted into the end of her femur. This has greatly helped because her weight has fluctuated a lot, which has created challenges in maintaining a good socket fit.
And Christie recently left us a review: “Thanks for all you have done to make this story possible!”
